Why We Exist

Breaking the System to Build Our Own Future

For decades, independent filmmakers have been shut out by a studio system built on money, connections, and gatekeepers. The most powerful stories never make it past the front door.

Rebel Frame exists to change that.

We are a filmmaking collective built on collaboration, transparency, and the belief that creative power belongs to the people who actually make the work. Here, ideas are judged by merit. Funding comes from the community. And every member, whether a director, writer, actor, editor, or supporter, has a voice in the future of our films.

Rebel Frame isn’t a production company.
It’s a movement. One rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu: we create because we are, together.

Our Purpose

We are building a new pathway for independent cinema.

Transparency

Every cent contributed to the Community Fund is openly tracked. Members always know where money moves, how budgets are allocated, and how production develops.

Collaboration

No gatekeepers. No closed doors. Filmmakers and supporters work side-by-side, sharing skills, ideas, and opportunities. The collective thrives on creativity exchanged freely.

Equity

Artists deserve respect — and payment. Rebel Frame ensures fair compensation and shared ownership across the entire production journey.

Community Power

Scripts are voted in by the members, not approved by executives. Every project reflects the voices and values of the collective.

Questions? We’ve Got Answers

How is the Community Fund protected?

All contributions are securely processed through our payment partners and held in a protected fund dedicated solely to the current production cycle. Every transaction is logged and publicly trackable to ensure full transparency.

Is membership free?

Yes, joining Rebel Frame is free. Membership gives you access to the community, the chat, the skill database, and the ability to take part in voting cycles.

How are script submissions reviewed?

All submitted scripts go through a panel review to ensure feasibility, originality, and alignment with our indie filmmaking model. The strongest submissions are shortlisted and prepared for the final community vote.

Can I get a refund after contributing?

Because contributions immediately support the active production cycle, all contributions are final and cannot be refunded. This ensures stability, fairness, and uninterrupted funding for the selected project.

What are the voting requirements?

Only active members may vote. Each member receives one vote per cycle, and all votes are final. You must be logged in and verified to take part in any greenlight decisions.

What happens after a script is voted in?

Once a script wins the vote, it is officially greenlit. Production begins through the Community Fund, a project page is launched, and members gain access to ongoing updates, behind-the-scenes content, and opportunities to collaborate.
